Napoleon

Napolean Bonaparte was born on August 15, 1769, on the island of Corsica, which was a French tierritory at the time. He died on may 5, 1821, on the island of Saint Helena, where he was exiled by the British after his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Napoleon Bonaparte is most known for his military couquests and for being the Emperor of france from 1804 to 1814. He rose to power during the French Revolution and became the French Revolution and became a successful military commander, leading France to victory in several major battles and expanding its territory across Europe.

Napoleons statue

The Statue of Napoleon in the Place du Général-de-Gaulle, Rouen, Normandy was erected in 1865. The equestrian statue was sculpted in bronze by Gabriel-Vital Dubray, and its pedestal was designed by Louis Desmarest. It stands in front of the city hall.
